Closest Major Mountain Resort to Denver, located just 70 miles northwest of the city, and so easily accessible, Winter Park is remotely tucked away in a high-country corner of the Rockies.

Winter Park is surrounded by the Arapaho National Forest and three separate wilderness areas and is only 35 miles south of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Winter Park Resort is situated at 9,000 feet, and has more than 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, so everyone can get their fill of skiing or other high-altitude adventure.

MOUNTAIN STATISTICS

In total, Winter Park has 166 designated ski trails, with 23 lifts, and snow making on 27 trails covering 313 acres.

There are two distinct mountains at Winter Park, Winter Park (10,713 feet) and Mary Jane (11,200 feet)      

Winter Park is 27% Beginner, 21% intermediate, 32% Advanced intermediate, and 20% Expert.

Mary Jane is 8% Beginner, 19% intermediate, 15% Advanced Intermediate, and 58% Expert and Above!

There are also a number of bowls and glade skiing options available.

THE LODGING

We are staying at the Zephyr Mountain Lodge the closest accommodations in WP to the slopes! Only 110 feet to the Gondola!!

Ski-In and Ski-Out with on-site storage for your skis and snowboards.

All accommodations are Two Bed/Two Bath condos, fully equipped with full kitchens and other amenities, such as gas fireplaces. There is also a hot tub on site.

·All condos come with slopeside or mountainside views.

For those driving to Winter Park, there is heated underground parking at the Lodge– fee required.
